Visiting the deceased

This is decision that is yours alone to make – choosing whether to visit the deceased can be a difficult decision. This is one aspect of the funeral where it’s tricky for us to advise you.

But to share our experience across the years – we’ve seen many people take real comfort from seeing their loved one at rest for a final time, and sharing some final moments together.

Leadbetter & Murphy will not pressure you to visit the deceased – this is your decision and we understand you need some time to make it. We have private remembrance rooms (also called the ”Chapel of Rest”) available in our premises. Some people prefer to have their loved one at home – if you share this preference we’ll arrange this for you – we’re here to help.

If you’d prefer to use one of our remembrance rooms, you can personalise the room with a photograph or some possessions that were personal your loved one. This is just another way you can personalise funeral arrangements with us.
