About our company
Leadbetter
and Murphy was founded shortly after the Second World War by George
Leadbetter and Michael Murphy, both of whom had learnt their trades
with another company long since closed.
They disposed of the business in 1984 to another family concern in the city, Walter Craven Limited.
It was from this time that the company's vehicles were garaged elsewhere allowing the premises to be completely gutted and four extra chapel of rest to be provided, in addition to a small office and comfortable family room.
Our current policy to buy new Limousines and to change them regularly, so ensuring that the quality of our vehicles matches that of our service.
Our staff are available to help you 24 hours a day every day of the
year;
we are as close as the nearest telephone.
Our private Chapels of Rest are open from:
Monday - Friday: 9.00am - 8.00pm.
Saturday: 9.00am - 12.00 noon.
Sunday: 10am - 12 noon.
No appointment is required.
